Tell your home dentist before you go
Some dentists will not repair work done elsewhere, and some will. Ask before you travel so you know where you stand.
Leave with your records
Ask for your X-rays, scans, the treatment summary, and for implants, the brand, system and part numbers. Without these, a local dentist may not be able to service your implant.
Know the warning signs
Pain that gets worse after the first few days, swelling that spreads, fever, or a bad taste can mean infection. Contact a dentist right away. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
Plan for a return trip
Staged treatment and adjustments often need a second trip. Build that into your budget and calendar from the start.
